<p align="justify">Nah, not from Argentina or Uruguay. However, they spawned music and television shows that made it big throughout the rest of Latin America. To this day, I even prefer the Argentinian-dubbed work of Japanese animated cartoons over Spain's and Mexico's. Best telenovelas come from Brasil and Venezuela, though.

Actually, manga comic books translations made in Argentina are very good... better than the Spansih ones. Ivrea editorial does an excellent job... especially with Cardcaptor Sakura books (hehhee.... hyaaaannn!!!)).
I'm sad beacuse Cartoon Network removed the episodes of Ranma 1/2 that they were showing and I was so hooked by it again. And Nadja is showed at very late hours.. don't get why cos it's more innocent than Sakura even (Well... actually Sakura is pretty perverted is you consider the crush that Tomoyo has on Sakura and the whole Yukito-Touya thing).
Of course, best telenovelas come from Venezuela with the exception of some mexican ones that were very good. But we also had our good share of telenovelas in the early 90s... especially the ones with Andrea del Boca.
Music??? Yes, but that was before for my country... Soda Stereo, Virus, Don Cornelio... we need that again. The only decent argentinian bands nowadays are from the indie scene. They are those bands that you go to see and there are like 50 other "Mechis" singing and dancing. [8D]
