Voice Of America

Does anyone else here totally love the song "Story Of Love"? I have this song and "I Will Tell" by them but that's all. Does anyone know the story on this band? Did they ever release anything else? Did the members become a part of any other band or come back in any other name?

I agree "Story of Love" is a fantastic song! I haven't heard the other track.

It's not as good as Story of Love but it's a cool New Wave track. Same style voice, no girl this time though.

I was just listening to "Story Of Love", and wondered the same thing as Sean did. Does anyone know anything about Voice Of America?

Nothing much about them. VOICE OF AMERICA was introduced here in MANILA by DZBM POWER105 wayback 1985 with their classisc hit "I WILL TELL". Definitely a lost band.[;)] I'm not really sure if they released a complete album.

They have released 7" I will Tell, Story of Love and a 12" S/T, hopefully I'll get a copy next week of the album.

According to the Music Master Albums catalogue out of the UK (an edition from around 1990 I believe) a track listing for an album with a catalogue # was indicated but this never saw the light of day. The strange thing about the listing was the abbreviation that was used for this release indicated that Decca Records was going to release this... don't know why it wouldn't have been Virgin... perhaps a typo.

The same fate occurred to Scary Thieves... a track listing in the above mentioned catalogue was indicated but no official release back in the 80's due to a falling out with EMI.

Coincidence.... I received today the 3 CD version of Hardest Hits and the first song is Story of Love. Actually it's one of the reasons I bought it. It has also Blir's favorite Doot Doot extended Mix.[:D]
