The logo reminds me of sort of professional sports team's logo...

Like the new look--But is home page in final form?

In FireFox, "Where New Wave, Punk, Power Pop and 80's Alternative Live On!" is overlayering the logo and in Internet Explorer 7, it's on a separate yellow line, but it's cut off (you can only see the upper portion of the subtitle). The album covers in the multiple format makes an interesting wallpaper, but there seems to be conflicts with the main links--they become barely readable.

This could be an asp, ccs issue, however, that just needs to be fixed. The message board pages come out fine.

No ... it's definitely still a work in progress, so please stand by while I convert the other pages -- some of the stale ones will either be updated or retired into an archive area. I will install Firefox and look into those screwy CSS issues. Not quite ready for IE7 though.

Thanks for the kinds words everyone! I made a small "mod"[:D] to Marv's stylish logo and voila!

As for the store -- well it couldn't come too late, eh?[;)] If you place orders by Monday, you should be able to receive orders by standard UPS Ground in time for X-Mas ... if you're in the States of course. Me? I'm ordering for the significant other and the new doggie this weekend!

Really kudos for the huge effort by everybody involved on what is essentially a hobby. I hope it doesn't seem too snarky or ungracious if I comment a bit negatively...I'm really kinda disappointed in the final designs. [:0]

Not in the original logos themselves mind you. One is very clean and image-generation driven while the other self-knowingly plays up to the overall campiness of the 80s. All well and good. I just reallly dislike the URL box of all things. It really detracts in a way I wasn't able to put my finger on right away. I guess it's two things. It seems too commercial. If Mike's intent is to indeed bring more traffic to this site, then great, it'll likely serve its purpose and certainly more power to Mike.

But it just feels so obvious. I remember Peter Saville talking about one form of pop design that plays up to the idea that a whole group of people, but not necessarily the general public, is in on something that not everyone knows about or is not necessarily directly spoken to on the face of things. Not secretive but just not overt. Knowing something unknown with kind of a wink, like an album cover without any words. The prominent URL box seems to completely take away any aspect of that. I don't feel any cool factor. Sorry, I'm prolly the only one who feels this way, elitist that I am. Move along. [:I]

SWEETNESS!

Love the freshness factor.

You guys rule. Im so ordering one of these. I need to sport my NWoutpostage more to the general populous.

When I first came here, I was like "WTF? Someone stole Mikes URL?" Then I started to assemble the posse for a wave of absolute destruction, but I realized it was the same old site, only a new look. So everything came out cool.

Man, its sweet.
Im ordering a shirt....RIGHT NOW...actually as soon as I get paid.

I like the back of the T-shirts . The list of bands and songs would make one great 80's CD collection. I'm sure that some might not agree but I also like that there is a .com on the front of the T's. It just might help to get the word out about this site.
