Crappiest movie of 2006

Postby WoodlandParkPunk » Tue Jan 02, 2007 1:06 am

Now that 2006 is just a memory what was the worst movie you saw in 2006?

No question, it was Pirates of the Carribean part 2. I enjoyed the first movie, but the second one really, really bored me. Could not get into Sea Creature bad guys, totally unrealistic sword fights on large wheels and Jack Sparrow was annoying.

Couldn't agree more with Pirates. At the end of it, we just looked at eachother like "what the fook was that all about?" It was SO long and SO pointless. Studio, writer, actor and director's vanity gone completely out of control. Why this wasn't vilified more, I don't know. I really do think Ishtar was better!

My vote goes to Pirates as well. Oh my God, long and boring isn't close to describing it. I felt like the guy in A Clockwork Orange being forced to keep my eyes open and watch it. Then, just my luck, what movie is playing on the back from my trip to NY? Sure enough, Pirates, I'm pretty sure it lasted the entire 4+ hours of the flight. Thankfully I had my iPod.

"The Departed" would have been great if it wasn't 45 minutes too long. After a while my pea brain got tired of the ceaseless plot twists. Even a great roller coaster ride gets old after a while. Probably will win a Best Editing Oscar, though.

Al Gore's propaganda film "An Inconvenient Truth". Actually not a bad movie. But Al presents his evidence as indisputable fact when many in the scientific community raise concerns and doubts about it. This makes me resent the attempted brainwashing of those ignorant enough to believe it just cause HE says it's true. Isn't this the same guy that claimed he invented the Internet?

"A Prairie Home Companion". Never heard of it? You're not alone and for good reason. Some things were meant for radio only. Putting Garrison Keillor's brainchild on film, even with an all star cast, is like trying to capture a cloud in a bottle. The "Prairie" radio show, however, continues to be the greatest thing on AM or FM.

Superman Returns sucks!! I mean isnt it obvious that Clark is Superman and LOis couldnt even figured it out?? Superman's gone for 5 years and so is Kent and they both return at the same time.

Remember when Supes was in the hospital and the docs took all of his uniform?? Couldnt they recognize he looks like Kent. Lois must be stupid or something.

The movie is boring, looking for sympathy from people when Supes get exhausted trying to get rid of that.....Kryptonite continent thing!!

Most movies, now in these days suck donkey ones. I mean most if not all are remakes and rip-offs of orgiginal classics. As a matter of fact, I always find my self going to Blockbuster and looking for old moives insted of wasting $30 on a crappy movie at the theater.[8D]

Has anyone mentioned Little Man starring Shawn and Marlon Wayans? One of those occasions when the movie was so crappy that it was humorous.
