It's not half bad, though it still makes me wonder why Duran Duran feel they need to sell out. Oh well, music is music

I dont know why everyone's so up in arms. I'm not a huge fan of JT's (and exactly what did Timbaland contribute to this song-furthermore, who the hell IS he?) however....think about it. Danceable, funk inspired pop with a frontman that makes the girls screeeeeeeeeeeeeam. JT and Duran Duran aren't all that far off from each other, if you look a little deeper than the surface. This song is ok, by no means their best, but I'm hoping it grows on me. And Duran Duran has been my favorite band for about...23 years or so, so I'm not talking completely out of my ass here. If it wasnt Justin, and some random dude on the song, would we all be going so crazy over this? Take it for what it is, and wait with baited breath for the new record like the rest of us!! There's another new song leaked(there's a link to it in this very forum!), and it's more traditional DD sounding than this! Be patient!

Also, for the record, the Robert Smith/Ashlee Simpson thing was a hoax (unfortunately, he did sing on that Blink 182 record, and did sing with Korn on unplugged..yikes)

^ me too.^

love the beginning. ooh, listening to that rap part now. *ouch*. OK, the rap's not too bad. It's not too-over-the-top. Man, but when Simon's signing.....nice......
This has a nice, very modern sound to it that also incorporates some slinky Duran Duran sound.
However, the entire second half doesn't strike me at all anymore as a Duran Duran song. It's moved onto something else.

Another thing is that this will grow on me. It's got that quality.

^^ Surprisingly, the rap doesn't bother me at all, and I usually hate that crap.

I really, really like this one. Simon sounds good and I like the bass.

thanks for reposting, latebar.

I gotta say that I REALLY like this one. I've played it 8 times in a row now and it's crackin'.

Does anyone know what their 1st single will be ? Seems like we've heard some leaks and maybe the band or their management is gauging public reaction before they decide?[?]

Hmmm...[?] that's my only comment on the song for now...

But yeah, I gotta say that JT's appearance on SNL was one of the best SNL's I've seen in awhile.. I even watched the repeat of it. "Dick in a Box" is the best short skit evar and the Target scene is great and I'm forever stuck on that Gibb song. Very funny indeed.[:D][:D][:D]
