Zune Question

Postby Sean » Wed Mar 07, 2007 5:32 am

Does anyone own one of these? I know the iPod is the craze but I was wondering if these Zunes are better. Basically, I want to upload my music and videos onto some player that I can take with me in the car and on trips. Now, can I just upload straight mp3's and mpg's onto this Zune from my computer or does it have to go through some software like iTunes and the iPod.

...back on topic...

I have a Zune and have been satisfied for the most part. The only dissatisfaction stemmed from my unorganized music library. I have been unable to sync some of my videos / clips but have yet to delve into reasons. There is a learning curve that can will be frustrating if you expect a turnkey gizmo. I have not been able to utilize the wireless share function. Each time I attempt to sniff out another Zuner I come up empty.

Standard mp3 format without conversion is the reason I bought the Zune. The display is higher resolution and bigger than the 30 gig ipod.

No, it doesn't. Only if you leave at it's default AAC. You can a variety of other encoding methods...or you can just take what the man feeds you. [;)]
