I bought myself a playstation 3 80 gig! Yeeeehaw!

and...my new obsession is Rosario Dawson. I wrote her a letter (I wont give details) but I would like a reply from her for christmas. Don't laugh too much, I'm pretty sure I will get an answer sooner or later. I have connections.

I think Shove and Marv have unwittingly picked eachother as NWO Secret Santas and are trying to throw eachother off the trail.

I've got Motors...NO freakin' idea what to get. Possibly some Christian Rap-Metal or maybe just the cheap fare on that Many Islands, Low Fare airlines.

I think some painfully self-aware, sensitive, emo-boy folk would send him into a Christmas tizzy.
It is actually a work of the Catholic Church.....[/quote]

To say that it was the work of the Catholic Church is disingenuous because they immediately discredited, condemned and banned it. Any Papal endorsements are inauthentic and the work of the book's authors. Is speaking in half truths the standard in your place of higher learning?

I don't get it. How is it a half-truth to state the FACT that it was comissioned by a pope, written by 2 monks of the Dominican Order, and USED by the Inquisition? The subsequent banning of the text (which went on to be used anyway- but that is a side point), is secondary to the main fact, which is that it was COMMISSIONED and WRITTEN by members of the Catholic Church. The subsequent banning of it doesn't negate the original fact.

Yeah, Blir, I'm gonna surprise him with a signed and numbered copy of the Spe Salvi and a book about pretzel logic. [:D]

Forget about it, now that Motors has his Terry Hall autographed copy of "Virgins & Philistines" anything short of an eternal March 14th is pretty much a wasted effort.

A thinly veiled accusation of "pretzel logic" from a self confessed contrarian. LOL, this takes the cake. After that last post, you can add circular debate to your self description now. Feel free to follow my example and stop hijacking these threads.

topic at hand: I could use a whole new wardrobe from here [8D]

Cool site Marv! I like the Willow tote in chocolate!!

My wants and needs are minimal, but I would like a new snow hat and a coffee press.

I know I just asked for a few little basics, including a couple of items for my work wardrobe. Nothing really extravagant or expensive. The reason for this is that I got a 30GB iPod for my combination Christmas/birthday present last year and I'm still fawning over it. As for my birthday (which happens just a few days after Christmas), all I'd want is just a relaxing day so I can leisurely lunch and stroll through my favorite art gallery.
I already got two presents, one I wanted and one that was a great surprise. The one I wanted was tickets to see Duran Duran in Austin on Dec 11 from my mother-in-law for my wife and I, and my wife got me a hand made coffee mug with a drawn picture of my cat that is dying of cancer on it. My wife wrote a little saying for it and that was a great present.

This present has taken on a huge signifcance to me now........we are taking my cat to the vet tomorrow to put him to sleep. He can hardly walk and isn't eating or going to the bathroom much anymore. We are going to get him cremated as well......so fucking hard to say goodbye to him. I've had him for 18 years and we've had so many things happen together. I'm really going to miss him a lot, he's my best friend, my baby boy. [:(][:(][:(][:(]
