What Kind of Thinker Are You?

Postby DreamRedux » Fri Jan 11, 2008 2:55 am

I've posted this on several boards and got some interesting responses . . .

What kind of thinker are you?

www.bbc.co.uk/science/leonardo/thinker_quiz/

I tested as a musical thinker:
Tend to think in sounds, and may also think in rhythms and melodies
Are sensitive to the sounds and rhythms of words as well as their meanings.
Feel a strong connection between music and emotions

Of the people who have responded, so far only one other person tested as a musical thinker.

So, who's next?

It claims I am an Interpersonal thinker:

Like to think about other people, and try to understand them
Recognise differences between individuals and appreciate that different people have different perspectives

Like interpersonal thinkers, Leonardo had lots of friends and contacts, and was a popular figure at the Italian court. Other Interpersonal thinkers include
Winston Churchill, Mother Teresa, William Shakespeare

Careers which suit Interpersonal thinkers include
Politician, Psychologist, Nurse, Counsellor, Teacher

No suprise here:

Naturalist Thinker:
Like to understand the natural world, and the living beings that inhabit it
have an aptitude for communicating with animals
You try to understand patterns of life and natural forces

Other Naturalist thinkers include
Charles Darwin, Jane Goodall, Johnny Morris, David Attenborough

Careers which suit Naturalist thinkers include
Biologist, Meteorologist, Forester, Farmer, Astronomer, Alternative therapist

This reminds me very much of Gardner's Learning Theory. If interested, I'm sure a search on Goggle will turn up tons of Gardner tests. The Kolb Theory is also interesting in how you process information.

Cool!

Bu t- OOps, I so lied!

TWO people tested as musical thinkers, and now with Max Murdoc, that makes three. [:D]

Not that this is a contest or anything [:I], but I was curious about the percentages.

Here's a slightly more comprehensive test:
