This 80's era track was played fairly often and for some reason, never heard it ID'd either before or after it aired.
It also got some play in the area clubs but again, never got a song ID .
The weird part is that the artist IMO sounded like (dare I say) Rick Springfield but I'm pretty sure it wasn't since none of his songs fit the station playlist format at the time.
For sure, it had a distinct percussive beat and an underlying airy synth sound.
All I can remember about the lyrics was a long drawn out chorus of staccato 'do-do-do-do-do-do-do's' punctuated by either (not sure which) 'I Call Your Name' or 'You Call My Name' (which was also part of other stanzas in the song)
That's all I remember about it.
