I found a highly edited recording of KNAC on the reverse side of one of my KROQ tapes. It's poor quality but I thought it might interest a few of you. I'm not sure when it was recorded but my best guess is late 84 to early 85.

Some fun facts about KNAC!
Norm McBride's Java Junkie Club (their morning show), I'll have to get a digital photo of my cup I wn one morning b/c I called in and answered a question on the air, wish I could remember what the dan trivia question was...
My friend from CSULB DJ-ed on the air, Rolland West, and went on later to Quake when they switched to heavy Metal format; he came to Long Beach State to DJ on the student run radio station, KSUL 88.9 FM(R.I.P.), and found out the administartion had disovled it, too much punk music...
Dick Sheppard was the Midnight to 6 a.m. shift DJ for years, then he got his 'big' break to DJ the morning show on KROQ and the rest is new wave history: Richard Blade was born as he picked his new last name whillooking at the Los Angeles Times' [i]Calendar[/i] section and saw the [i]Blade Runner[/i] movie ad, adn presto!!! [:p]
I'll have to remember the X-Mas shows that you git into for bringing a can of food for the Long Beach food bank... One year Burning Sensations, The Untouchables, Fishbone, and The Living Daylights played all in one show!!!
As soon as I think ofsome more, I'll post 'em! [:)]
