I remember Moev once being dubbed the "Canadian Depeche Mode". Don't really hear the similarities. Have always liked Moev more.

I'd have to agree the most with Yazoo, as their song "Happy People" always catches me off guard and I think for the first minute or so that it's Depeche Mode. Other than that, Yazoo sounds pretty distinct from DM. People are really starting to list alot of other random groups that don't resemble DM very much at all...

I quite agree that these people don't have that Depeche sound. Then again, I think people just use the Depeche Mode tag because they're most assuredly the biggest Synthpop band ever, and it's easier to cite similarities by mentioning a big brand than it is to name, oh, I dunno, Naive Art by Red Flag. A great album, don't get me wrong, but any reference to it when talking about Camouflage will be lost on people, so it's easier to say they sound like Depeche Mode.

...That make sense?

How about, Crown Of Thorns... Their song "Pictures" has similar-sounding DM riffs.
