What about the proto -punk acts of Dictators,Electric Eeels,Dmz,Styrenes,Corpse Grinders and Zolar x? Has anyone listened to their albuns? And also what's your opinion, about Cleveland punk rock scene,which brought us,DeadBoys and Pere Ubu?Thanks!!

Aside from The Dictators, The Stooges and the MC5 most of the bands that have been referred to as proto-punk never broke out of thier own citie's scene to influence a mass audience. Electric Eels, Corpse Grinders, Zolar X are all great bands but no one h

This is the good sh!t you guys are talking about. Pere Ubu, The Lords/Stiv Bators/Dead Boys... if I had more money I'd invest in all the re-releases of their old records with the extra tracks. To me, Lords is the supergroup combining Punk, a little Glam w

I also love the Dead Boys/ Lords. Great description, XXX, of the Lords. "Dance With Me" is twisted! love their cover of "Live For Today" too. I would like to find me some Dead Boys---and these other bands you guys have mentioned.

I was a huge Lords fan in the late 80's/early 90's. I tried to listen to them a few months ago and for me it just didn't hold up. But that's just me.
