I concur. Probably the worst song off the album. In a perfect world, Dolby would be remembered for Airwaves, or for Weightless, or for Leipzig...but this is not a perfect world. And so it comes down to SCIENCE! and a bit part in Howard the Duck.

The only singles released here was "Prime Time", which is at best a mediocre album track and "So Tired", two tracks I wouldn't put in my top five of the album. "Prime Time" spent five weeks in the chart reaching 46, not a glittering success. "Paint and Paint" did not chart. Burying "Infatuation" was certainly a mistake.

There is an "official" site, http://www.haircut100.net/ but it is very poor. No discography, no info about the albums, no band member info etc.

Rational Youth and Pointed Sticks are excellent bands, check them out!

Recommend "Cold War Nightlife" by Rational Youth and
"Perfect Youth" by Pointed Sticks. The latter was re-released on CD last year and is available from Sudden Death Records: http://www.suddendeath.com

There's so much rubbish on the airwaves these days that anything new wave even the stuff that I didn't care for before is great music compared to today's garbage.

I'll probably get thrown off this board for saying this, but if the song an actual New Wave hit, then I'm probably sick of hearing it. By hit, I mean Billboard Top 40, on heavy rotation on MTV circa 83, or appears on every other 80s compilation.

My chances of still liking the song are greater if it's guitar-driven, only a demi-hit, or if I missed it the first time. (And that's why I'm on this board, to find the stuff I missed the first time.)

Ironically, I'm not tired of "Video Killed the Radio Star".

You know, I'm not really sick of any of them. What they lose in novelty value over time, they accrue in nostalgia. I'll gladly listen to "Rio" or "Goody Two Shoes" anytime.

I'm in total agreement about Don't You Forget About Me. I think I was sick of it a couple of days after it came out![8D]

I'm afraid I'm getting very tired of my beloved Blondie's One Way or Another. I'm glad they're making money off of the song by selling to commercials, but it seems to be used in multiple ads all running around the same time.

Gotta agree with Spandau Ballet - True. A place I sed to work at (crappy mini supermarket thing) had a tape with that on it on constant loop. Now everytime I hear it I get an urge to quit my job.

Along with the Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams, I forgot to mention Nena - 99 Luft Balloons. Can't tolerate either of them.

Yeah, that one's really been run into the ground because it's not just confined to the "Worst of the 80s" stations like most of the other staples are. Plus, it's the same deal as Simple Minds. I don't think Spandau's catalog is that strong as a whole, but they had plenty of other catchy singles that should have received airplay.

On the flipside, does anyone else find it ironic that you will usually find a least one Style Council track on those tapes, but outside of a little airplay for "Ever Changing Moods" they were totally ignored by radio?

I can not stand hearing Men at work at least once a day on the 80/90s
station I listen to.I mean come on ,is that a flute in Down under.
Now this station is on a repetative Guns n Roses kick.All I want from
the radio is news,weather and sports anyway.I do agree with Beaus x2
list,they are most repeated and most tiresome.
