Flood, Stephen Hague, Arthur Baker, Trevor Horn, Daniel Miller, Martin Hannett are some of my favs.....
I also think some band produced albums are quite good. Pet Shop Boys, New Order, St. Etienne to name a few.
And Harold Faltermeyer did a kick ass

Sorry dtradio, I gotta disagree on Rundgren...he destroyed Tom Robinson Band. Power in the Darkness had/has an amazing vibe and is one of the best albums I've ever heard. TRB2 is whiny, overproduced garbage for the most part. I asked TR about this about 1
