On the CD I got of 'The China Crisis Collection', in the song 'Working With Fire and Steel', they sort of blank out the swear in the line that goes "When things get f*cked and were the same"

Funny, Whistledog, I own three China Crisis CD's and none of them have "Working With Fire and Steel" on them (and one's even a greatest hits). I didn't notice that before. If I do buy another compilation of theirs I'll make sure not to get that one.
I can almost ... almost ... see where record companies edit songs on compilations. If they're the "single" versions of the songs, which many compilations are, they'll usually put the radio-friendly versions of songs on there so as not to offend anyone. That said, the Icicle Works best of had the song "Sh*t Towne" on it unedited, so ...
