Liked then, don't like now

Most artists I liked then I still like now. I was dissapointed in the last U2 record. Had 3 or 4 good songs. Everything else sounded half assed, which is baffling since a lot of it seemed to have been inspired by some traumatic events like the death of Bono's father.

I have to agree with design_femme on U2. And even though I know I will get flamed here-- Duran Duran. I loved them in the 80s. now i think they really ony put out 4 decent tunes:

Girls on Film
Planet Earth
Late Bar
Say a Prayer

I can't listen to the rest of their music without cringing. Sorry.

I actually like Duran Duran's 90s/new millenium stuff more than their 80s stuff. "Reflex," Save a Prayer," and "Rio" are really the only 80s songs that I like by them.

I used to REALLY be into the Lords OF The New Church, up until about 1990. I tried to listen to "Method To My Madness" about a year ago and couldn't even make it thru 1 side. I have no idea what I ever saw in that band aside from the Dead Boys/Damned connection.

I used to like the song 'Be Good Johnny' by Men at Work, but now, I just want to put my fist into a wall when i hear it. LOL
