Great lists above!

Trance/ electronica, even some of the cheesy stuff
good Ambient, such as Aphex Twin
early house/ Acid Jazz
lots of 90s Club music dance stuff
some of the new "Next Wave" stuff

ethnic, such as Middle Eastern, Persian, Indian, Greek, and especially some of that funky African, such as Fela Kuti, THE MASTER!

Reggae, ska, two-tone

Oldies, a bit of 70s "classic rock"

Old punk, and 70s no-wave or gritty godfathers of punk, such as T-Rex, VU, Modern Lovers, etc.

One name:

Chris Isaak

Very big into his music and his style. I try to catch his show whenever he's in town. So far, I've only been to three of his concerts, but I can rest assured he'll be at the OC Fair and Humphrey's By The Bay nest year. I'm so there. You all should too[8D]

I think he lives in SF because I saw him in my neighborhood walking with some girl a couple of months ago on Polk street in the Russian Hill area.

Yes, he lives in the SF area and hails originally from Stockton. One of my favourite albums is his San Francisco Days[8D]
