Usually, you don't have to update the media player itself. Just go to the Quicktime page and update Quicktime so that it has the codec available to it. In most cases, your media player will reference that codec when it sees a file of that type. If your player isn't smart enough to do that by itself, just drag and drop the file onto something else like RealPlayer or Windows Media Player, both of which can play these files. Lastly, you can also just drag and drop on Quicktime itself. One of these three options WILL work, I guarantee it

PS. SomebodySomewhere is just being humble. He's always done well on these, including this one, and even got the highest combined score on the WLIR/KROQ NTTs...LIAR! [:D]

Considering how much ass I sucked on the KROQ one, that's kind of sad, don't you think? I didn't even try there. But given how many of these I was only lurking for, I reckon we should probably wait until I've taken part in at least 30 of 'em before concluding if I, you know, actually know stuff. It could be a fluke.

The Stretch Run!

The game ends pretty soon on Friday Jan 20th at 9PM EDT. We got some great participation on this one. It looks like it's been a fun game - hope we get some last minute stragglers. The average going into the final day is an impressive 67.5. Remember that the links to some of these videos will only be provided to the people who've played due to bandwidth issues.

LAST CALL!

The Video NTT Results are in! A fine turnout of 20 of yuz. Thanks for participating. I hope it was fun. I look forward to any suggestions for whenever I have the energy for the next one. I'll also take requests for any of the current videos if anyone is super interested. I'll post two results. First, since this is supposed to be a New Wave NTT, here are the contest winners limited to just New Wave, excluding the bonus track:

1st - Schwenko - 91% - I'd love to see his video/audio vaults one day!
2nd - Jason - 88% - When he plays, he rocks.
3rd - SuttonRecords - 86% - More on this guy later.
4thT - BigBri - 83% - Have I mentioned once or 50 times that he's always up there???
4thT - Jim2 - 83% - Love seeing those new names show up the broken down 'old' members ;-)

And here's the scores for the DVD contest including the wink-wink bonus track. Kudos to our first place finisher. Just lemme know where to send the DVDs full of mpegs. If Miss NTT should not be able to accept the duties and prizes of the NTT contest, the runner-up may choose to assume said duties and prizes...lemme know. :-)

1st - SuttonRecords - 87% - Knows it almost all ;-) Great job.
2nd - BigBri - 85% - People do pay some attention to my nauseating blather!
3rdT - SomebodySomewhere - 82% - Like BigBri, always there.
3rdT - Schwenko - 82% - You broke my heart, you broke my heart...no BSP?!!!
5th - Jason - 79% - He's excused, they're not on his label.

And the answers with their percentage guessed are below. Final average of participants was a healthy 72% and 67% including the bonus track.
