I'm young enough that when my mom used to listen to Top 40 radio with me in the car during my salad days, much of it was New Wave. And get this, her best friend for a birthday bought her...are you ready...the 12" of "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell.

And that's when I discovered that "Memorabilia" was the better song [:)]

I'm the youngest in my family, so I always wanted a kid sister/brother, just so I would have someone to pick on. Good thing you're all the way over in Argentina, otherwise you'd be getting noogies!

Well, as you should know, theres a lot of hand-me-downs in any family. Email me a address and I'll send you some music hand-me-downs. My big sis did that for me, and God bless her for that, otherwise I would probably never had an appreciation for Punk and EuroDisco. It'll be cool to finally be able to do the same for my "NW kid sister".[:D]

You would have made my parents so proud. Both my mother and mother-in-law played the accordion, and even gave lessons. I'm not sure why I was spared that torture. Maybe I'm allergic to red naugahyde.

I bet you can dance the polka, too? It's coded into my family's DNA. I learned to polka shortly after I learned to walk.

Oh, the horror! Now you know what it was like to grow up in my household, too. I've been kicking around the idea of starting a self-help group in the fashion of Adult Children Tortured By Incessant Playing of Neil Diamond. I'm certain that many, many more will come from the woodwork to join my ACTBIPoND.

Dad loved, and still does, the 50s and 60s stuff. Any of it. Dad always had a good ear for music. He liked the old style country music, too. But I appease him only with the oldies stuff.
