Does anyone remember them?

At first I hated them, then someone gave me the album and they grew on me -- big time. Then there were a few singles too afterwards. I may be wrong, but I don't think they ever made a second full album.

The vocal duo of Jeremiah Healy and Kate Garner was brilliant. His voice was very commanding and hers, like a little girl's voice. Their lyrics were naughy, witty and just downright fun.

I really thought they were going to be a lot bigger than they were, especially since they had the look too, similar to The Culture Club -- raggy clothes, dreadlocks, perfectly sculptured faces.

I still pull their records out from time to time.

The advantage Kate Garner had is that if the band fizzled, she could have a backup career in modeling. The "other guy" could be a roadie for Dexy's Midnight Runners.

They are a quirky sounding band. Shiny SHiny takes the cake. The "John Wayne is Big Le

I think Kate Garner went on to be a photographer if I remember correctly. But, you're right, she was gorgeous and I remember hearing she was offered a layout in one of the men's magazines like Penthouse or something.

"Shiny Shiny" could be about a nuc

I believe Jeremy Healy went on to be a successful DJ/producer (think I read that in the Battle Hymns liner notes, which are not in front of me right now).
