I agree 100% with Grunch regarding a company's obligation to be forthright in describing their products; I am assuming that Almacantar knew about this BEFORE releasing the cd, and did not provide a caveat to consumers. Please feel free to correct me if my assumptions are wrong.

I also have to say welcome to salsynth who I have met a few times, and know to be a straightshooter! I hope he will feel free to contribute his extensive knowledge in this field to the board.

Grunch can be pretty blunt in his comments, but I almost always agree with him. He can also be very sarcastic. especially when it is sorely needed here! He's contributed innumerable digitalized rare, excellent tracks. He is certainly capable of creating a cdr from the vinyl, assuming he has the vinyl product.

Not having to defend anyone, I have to agree with schwenko, what he says about Grunch is true, I've been here at NWO only a few months.

Grunch knows his shit (no bucket required! [:D]), and has posted many gems and rareties, as well as threads that are sarcastic, as IMHO he feels this place is stale.

If I wasn't so lazy I'd be looking bands/artists up on the Internet (e.g., Google, etc.) to find if there are CDs availble for sale, etc., and posting more tunes/bands that are OOP, I just don't know the lay of the land, and one day I'm sure I'll end up posting an mp3 that will be deleted by the mods. [:0] [B)]

So anyway salsynth, welcome on board, and stay tuned in, as I learn something new every day here, about '80s bands that is, except for that category: "—Not Necessarily New Wave—" [:D]

Nice Surprise! Today I got home from work to find a package from Almacantar Records with a new copy (disc only) of the FX EP and they have fixed the dropouts in the song "Cruising In My Car". Sweet! I dodn't even lodge a complaint with them.

Well done Almacantar! Great customer service!

Thanks! - cdsearcher

P.S. When can we expect a couple of XL Capris releases??!! ;-)
