I was reminded on another message board about the subject of misunderstood lyrics (for "regular" music). I immediately thought of "Disorder" by Joy Division. For years I thought Ian was singing:
"I've been waiting for a guy to come and take me by the hand,
Could these sensations make me feel the pleasures of another man?"
In fact, what he was really saying was:
"I've been waiting for a guide to come and take me by the hand,
Could these sensations make me feel the pleasures of a normal man?"
Anybody else have any examples of misheard lyrics???
