Well he chose us as one of the bands for the "Live At CBGBs". And I consider his club, as a place for bands to showcase their original songs, a contributing factor in getting us signed to Columbia records.
For those who didn't know him, all I can say is that he was a true gent.

I went by CBs tonight; small group of people gathered around, the tribute flowers modest in number.
The whole scene was surreal, since it was illuminated with floodlights, from the movie being filmed across the street.

Had the honor of meeting him once at CBGB's when the ska band, Potato 5, I brought over for a North American tour played the famous club along with Let's Go Bowling and NY natives The Toasters in Dec. of 1989... lots of memories... great place to play, I do remember how narrow the club was/is.
