I already got two presents, one I wanted and one that was a great surprise. The one I wanted was tickets to see Duran Duran in Austin on Dec 11 from my mother-in-law for my wife and I, and my wife got me a hand made coffee mug with a drawn picture of my cat that is dying of cancer on it. My wife wrote a little saying for it and that was a great present.

This present has taken on a huge signifcance to me now........we are taking my cat to the vet tomorrow to put him to sleep. He can hardly walk and isn't eating or going to the bathroom much anymore. We are going to get him cremated as well......so fucking hard to say goodbye to him. I've had him for 18 years and we've had so many things happen together. I'm really going to miss him a lot, he's my best friend, my baby boy. [:(][:(][:(][:(]

I had to take the family cat to the vet to euthanise her. She's not my cat and I was pretty stoic throughout most of the ordeal until the very final moment - then I felt really really sad[:(] She was only 7 years, too[:(][:(]

It's always sad to have to put the family pet down. I had to put 2 cats and 1 dog down within 18 months of each other, all due to old age. They ranged in age from 14-16. Just remember, you did this because you cared enough for your pet to not let it suffer.
