Randy works at DMX Music here in Seattle in the day time and also does his weekly Saturday night at Neighbours from 10 PM until 4 AM. He still does the mixshow on KNHC but that's all pre-programmed.

If you are ever thinking about maybe renting the old club for a night, you could try to contact Keith Olsen (owner) at the Last Supper Club. Or call my office during the week (206) 440-9780 and I could probably get you guys in touch with the right people.

Good to hear that you doing well. I do miss our interactions through the record pool days. Where is G Freeman?. My ex-roomate was dating his niece from Spokane (S. Freeman). Also what about Kelly from C89?

Mygreen, it was very sad to see it so dark and locked.

Other than the addition of some faux-art deco lighting sconces on the exterior, it looked very much the same. I was sure that the Mack Truck that is development in Seattle would have some high-rises springing up in the parking lots, but even those were unchanged (many Skoochies memories arose in those parking lots!). My trick was that I always parked in the north parking lot, which was less badly lit, but I'd carry tweezers to fish my $2 out from the pay slot at the end of the evening!

The McDonalds, the Best Western across the street . . . you'd think twenty-one or -two years would have wrought more change, but even it had we'd see through it to the old bones!

Hi Hex - love the pictures of the three of you. You really looked like you had a great time!
I never did experience the "parking lot". I was one of those younger pesky kids that hung out there. I fondly remember that McDonalds. My best friends parents would drop us off there so we could grab dinner before went dancing. I saved my money for Skoochies and just ordered water!

I also remember the couch (by the front entrance). I would use that couch to crash after a night of dancing waiting until someone picked us up ususally around 3 or 4 in the morning!

I am a little heartbroken and sad that it does look so empty. I am blessed that we had a place like this to go to when we were younger.

Kimiiii,
Those stark images evoke similar memories of an east coast clubbing icon, The Malibu of Lido Beach, LI NY. The club was similar in physical size and engenders a similar cultural notoriety. Right next to the Atlantic Ocean with an interior festooned in the gaudiest tropical blacklight motif, a cavernous interior two separate dance areas with 2 bars each (they hosted numerous live performances by the 80's most well known acts, from Dead or Alive to U2. The building still stands and still appears to be in use by the local municipality. It's sad to drive by and see the entrance sign on Lido Blvd knowing it is the only a vestigial reminder of what once awaited you at the other side of that sprawling parking area.[V]
