I never understood the Goth facination with the Cure. Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Siouxsie, I can see those bands. But the Cure had too many happy poppy songs to be goth. "Love Cats" is NOT a goth song!

UCK! OK MUST REPLY!!! Siouxsie & The Banshees were way to interesting to be tagged as Goths. The media classified them as that because the fucking media needs to put labels on everything. Siouxsie gets into the whole Goth thing, which the Banshees preceed

I love goth, and the look can be intriguing, but the attitude that goes with it is gross. Some of those people are just too uptight for my tastes and take themselves waaaaay too seriously.

Sisters of Mercy distance themsleves from the goth tag.

I have the one self titled album that they put out back in 1980,with Gary Tibbs who later joined Adam And The Ants.I thought it was pretty good from what I remember of it.Have any of you ever heard their album,and if so what did you think of it?
