classical music -- its importance today?

Postby ninjastyle » Wed Feb 09, 2005 1:55 pm

Recently I noticed a classical music website.

http://www.freeclassicalmusic.net

I wonder, if, in this time of electronic music, flashy music shows, and newfangled instruments --
I wonder if the genius inherent in the work of Beethoven and Chopin is still important. That is, if it is still able to be appreciated.

I like much of it, more now that I ever did.
It's one of those things that you have to be in a mood for and want to hear.
In any event, thanks for the free music.

Kimiiii, do you remember that photographer that spammed here about a year or so ago?

Classical music is important today because it remains as a benchmark to which people may aspire, so that they can hear the brilliance to which humans may reach.

Is that the kind of answer you were looking for, ninjastyle? Now, post some stuff.

My favorite classical music is when the needle skips on the record during Ravel's Bolero and Bo says "it's stuck" and Dudley thinks he's stuck! Remember that?! No?! O.K. Forget it.
