"Recent Uploads to the Hub" thread??

Discuss hard-to-find or out-of-print New Wave and '80s Alternative, and share a few songs along the way.
NOTE: requesting songs that are entirely unrelated to the genres discussed here or easily found on CD is strongly discouraged and posts will be enforced as needed.

"Recent Uploads to the Hub" thread??

How about it? It's so hard to keep up. Not the super commercial stuff but maybe vinyls, rarities, or other items we night not even know to look for?

I'll start with the bonus CDs from the books Punk Diary 1970-1979 and Post Punk Diary 1980-1982. Lots of awesome interviews and great historical context.

PS. Some people have different hub names so just do a search if interested. Any other contributors?

Sounds like a good idea.

What I've been procrastinating on is the opposite. Posting my want list(right from my DC++ adl stuff) onto here for the last hope of finding said rare MP3s.

I wish I could transfer my vinyl over to mp3(VBR), but the last time I tried doing any recordings in SoundForge, it trainwrecks it completely. This was not a problem when I was running 2K, but ever since the switch to XP, vinyl ripping has never been harder.

Well there's damn well been "some" recent uploads. 43 users with 3.11 TERABYTES was the count at one point today!

I guess this idea didn't catch on - I wish it would.

I'd really like to know what people are adding to their folders, and if they're inclined - a sentence or two about it, (is it power-pop, synth, sounds like a roll of qarters in a blender, etc.)

I recently uploaded 4 Jane Siberry albums. The earlier stuff is new wave, with some folk, Bound by the Beauty has some country elements, and When I was a boy...I'm not sure what that was.

I uploaded my entire CD collection a few weeks ago. I intend to rip some of my vinyl soon but the only recent additions have been dowloaded from the hub.

"sounds like a roll of quarters in a blender"??? I may just try this. I put my minidisc in the dryer one time, recorded it and sampled it. I'm not sure the blemder would like it much though.[8D]

Just make sure you're running a blow dryer in the back ground for that extra ambiance!
