I think this is great Freewave! I'd love to see the entire list tabulated -- I'm sure it would make for an awesome 1000+ essential new wave songs list! In fact, I'd like to post it somewhere else on my site for easier access later.

Sorry to keep you hanging, Freewave. I have been frightfully busy lately and am still generating my list. I'm still going to be a couple days. If you need to cut it off and start tabulating, you don't have to wait for me. Thanks for being so patient! With or without my input, it's going to be a great list.

Page 1 is now raw tabulatable (a word?) data in an excel file (and soon to be in an access file (thanks Microsoft). If you edit anything on page 1 it won't be reflected in the tallies. I'll wait until tomorrow before crunching part of page 2.

I'll try to hold off on final results until next week,
[:0]
June 2nd,
[:0]
which is the official cutoff date. Hopefully I'll have tallies very shortly after. Post your lists and represent!! [:p]

Sure thing. Not that hard all in all.

Its amazing what you can do by just cut & pasting the lists into excel (as one big column) and then just sort into the appropriate collumns using "Text to Columns" Command. Its bloody brilliant!! [:D]

Thanks to those who capitalized and didn't stray from the rank-artist-song format!! [:p]

Can't sleep. Hours later, my list is hilarious! So many great songs forgotten! I am still happy with my top 10 though. How do you fit 300 songs onto a top 100 list anyway? Looking forward to the final list FreeWave.

Sure that's a real easy thing to do is pick from some favorite lists . Just be sure NOT to post songs twice (or more on your list)[:(!][;)]

I'm working hard to get my list done, but it is so hard to eliminate some of my favorite songs! I feel like I'm part of the crew on the Titanic, deciding who gets to survive in a life boat and who has to go down with the ship!

Sad thing is that some classics have been ignored. [:(] Still I've done some early totaling and it looks really good although there are some songs that passed me by that have done real well! [:0]
