I heard about this too, very strange. I work retail and have accepted a few $2 bills in my day. I don't see the big deal, except there's no place in the drawer for it. :P

I've done it before - but with pennies - at Circuit City and Best Buy. Dump about 20 bucks' worth of pennies right on teh counter and done deal [:)] These two... "businesses" are notoriously bad when it comes to services they're supposed to provide.

I have several stashed away in the house somewhere...now that I think about it, they seem pretty anachronistic. the last time I remember using one was back in like '95, and I used it to pay for a cof

2. Yes, a store can refuse to accept any form of cash as payment. But by offering cash, you have made a legal offer to pay. They cannot claim you didn't offer to pay. Generally, if so

and they came and measured the door space and I never heard from

I told you so! I always have this stuff happen. I went to Costco today and bought 8 cases of bottled water. 35 bottles per case. I have them in one giant cart. The girl tells me I must unload every case. I said just scan them or just take one case and rin
