Classix Nouveaux - Secret

Postby Rubbeet921 » Fri May 12, 2006 10:16 pm

Ooops, correction- I'm having the album "ATOMIC" (not self-titled) and yup, it's worth tracking down, IMO.

Here's the title track:

Hi, guys! Great to see Classix Nouveaux being appreciated. They're one of my fave New Romantic bands (and not only NR, I think). And the have a remastered "Secrets" is great news for me.

I actually compile a discography of CN (and a bit of Sal Solo), you can take a look at it here:
http://fadingwave.h16.ru/classix_nouvea ... graphy.htm

And I suggest those who know to share with me additional info or corrections, 'cause I obviously don't know everything and there may be some gaps, mistakes or missing links.

The only track I like on it is "Music and You"...

I think it was the second UK single.

I have 4 or 5 albums of Rocktes at home and one brand new (from 2005). Very good music, but I prefer Sal Solo solo. Album Heart And Soul is very strong and the song Forever Be is amazing.

Cherry Red did confirm the CD is only having the 9 tracks. EMI turned down their request for bonus material; i.e. it's a money thing.

Anyone know anything about the band MAO, which was apparently some of the other (not Sal Solo) guys from CN?

they did a nice track called Friend For A Day on a compilation LP called Terpsichore, and I never heard anything else frm them.

Friend For A Day is catchy as hell.

Also, anyone have an extra copy of the Night People CD reissue from Cherry Red?

I've been loking around for a cheap copy ('cuz I'm cheap) or a trade...
