Very nice. I just wish I didn't have all but a couple of those tracks. It would be a nice purchase. It also seems kinda random that the two cities are pooled together. I'd think each in their own right could produce a set that's equally compelling. But since its Morley, you can't dismiss it.

I'd beg one correction though. Warsaw never did No Love Lost. It's a surprising and worrisome mistake. The only Warsaw songs were the 5 from the "The Warsaw Demo" of July 18, 1977. The tracks off the semi-boot "Warsaw" of various track lengths and releases all came from the RCA demos of May 3-4, 1978, when they were clearly already Joy Division. You know, just sayin'. [:I]

I bet the rarer tracks are mastered from vinyl.

Picked this up via Amazon.co.uk last week. Awesome compilation and the liner notes by Paul Morley are nice. It is a little box set, kinda like the last three Cabaret Voltaire box sets with sleeves and the CD's inside. It is a nice history lesson, with some rarer stuff I've never had the chance to hear before. It is like the Hannett comps, you still pick 'em up because it is nice to hear what the stuff sounds like together.

I had no idea what Big in Japan, Pink Ambulance, Spitfire Boys, or Naughty Lumps sounded like. Plus there is a cool disc of harder to find stuff and some other bands from both cities.

"No Love Lost" is the exact same one (I believe) as the Joy Division song on Substance that came out years ago. I just find it amazing there isn't a single song on here from the Chameleons (as in Mark Burgess' Chameleons). I guess due to licensing. But I still like the comp.... even though probably not for everybody because you already have alot of this stuff.

Not sure if I should get this. I'm really curious about the source of some of these tracks. The last time Big In Japan, Lori & The Chameleons and Those Naughty Lumps were on CD (The Zoo Uncaged), they were MFV. But since Korova is now resurrected by a major label (it's a subsidiary of WEA), maybe they have dug up the masters from somewhere?

BTW can someone confirm that 'Holiday In Disneyland' is the 7" version? TIA
