I don't understand other people's fascination with cars.

To me, my car gets me from point A to point B. That's the way it's always been and I hope that is the way it will always be.

Then again, most people don't understand my fascination with jars of dead insects floating in ginger ale....

You haven't really LIVED until you see the sun set while snuggled in bed with a jar full of dead wasps floating in a delicious beverage!!

Au contraire, mon frere. Nothing screams sex on wheels like this car in a tunnel, preferably one that you don't have to pay to enter.

Some cars are truly "art on wheels"

Relax X, I think Blir put that on to appease me [^] He knows I'm a Beamer man [8D] As much as all those vehicles make me drool (with the exception of the first one...beautious, but not droolish), I'm going with the smart and zippy with the airy cockpit...the BMW 3.0CSL. Just look at those spoked wheel inspired rims, reminiscent of a racing heritage. Even the BMW logo, a stylized propellor design which pays homage to the company's aviation roots makes me excited all over. Subtle curves on a mod like body...this car is as comfortable on the parking lot of the office building as it is on that of the next Depeche Mode concert. And it's all over the raceway [;)]

The Corvette Stingray and the Mercedes Gullwing are very close runner ups in my book [:I]

Mercedes Gullwing looks pretty awersome. There was some weird car convention in SD and I saw a couple of those being driven down the I5. I have poor aesthetic taste for automobiles, though. I'd be content with a fully refurbished orange Karmann Ghia ragtop[;)]

I don't know about that, X. Those Karmann Ghia's have a groove factor all their own and orange IS one of my favorite colors.....seriously. I honestly see myself buying one at some point. Affordable, readily available parts (also affordable), relatively easy to work on and a sexy European body design. And uber-retro.

Because I've been a blushing flower and appeasing sort of guy lately?! [:I] I think I'll drop into Rantaholics Anonymous or visit this Chinese Anger Bar, LOL...

Bimmers aren't my favorites, but this car is amazing considering it's from 1971. Do you remember what other cars in 1971 looked like?! Outside of the great muscle cars and Italian exotics, most sedans and coupes, especially US ones, were just plain awful. But look at those clean lines, form-to-function, and the airy cockpit like you mentioned with the thin pillars. Pretty groundbreaking and a much less obvious but more legitimate choice than the gorgeous but possibly derivative BMW 507:
