Echo & The Bunnymen CD/DVD

[Surly]

Sirendisc.com and Amazon.co.uk are both listing 2 versions of a new Echo & The Bunnymen greatest hits disc called [i]More Songs To Learn And Sing[/i] with a street date of 9/11. One version comes with a DVD. Hopefully our friends at The Ideal Copy will be offering this soon!

What a bad day to release such an awesome item. Still buying it though.

Here's the audio tracklist from Play.com

Seven Seas
Never Stop
Rescue
I Want To Be There (When You Come)
Don't Let It Get You Down
Read It In Books
A Promise
Silver
People Are Strange
Do It Clean
The Game
Rust (Radio Edit)
Lips Like Sugar
Nothing Lasts Forever
Bring On The Dancing Horses

They didn't list the DVD tracklist, even though they offer it for sale.

Hope the sound quality is better than the first Songs to Learn and Sing. There's hissing in between the tracks!

Sweet Jesus! I can't wait for those videos if it is true. Some of the most ridiculous videos ever made. Did I say I can't wait?

[fanciz]

Yeah but the problem will be to find a Region 0 copy, I had to buy The Mission UK DVD Lighting the Candles in Canada![:(!]

[obs]

Easier to just get an all region player and not worry about not being able to play certain DVDs [:)]. They're cheaper than you think. Probably even cheaper than what you paid for that Mission DVD.

I was hoping they would include a video or performance for "Never Stop". Oh well, still a nice video tracklisting. I shall still buy it!!!

[Rubellan]

The listing for the DVD on various websites is only showing 8 tracks. Once someone receives this, please verify if it does only have 8 or the original 12 videos.

Just got my copy today - only 8 videos:

1. The Cutter
2. The Killing Moon
3. Seven Seas
4. Bring On The Dancing Horses
5. The Game
6. Lips Like Sugar
7. Nothing Lasts Forever
8. Rust

For some reason, "The Killing Moon" is in mono. Although not marked on the packaging, this appears to be a PAL Region 0 DVD as it plays in my regular Pioneer player.

The quality of the videos are pretty good though. I was wondering why the Killing Moon was mono too. I think I have that on another dvd compilation and it's in stereo. I was happy with the collection overall though. Wish there was more on there. Same with the Adam & the Ants. Why did they leave a bunch of the videos out?

Unless it's some special version or has dialogue in the video, it pisses me off that the labels can't even take the time to mux in the audio ripped from the CD into the video. Hell, it only takes a couple of hours at most.

If you haven't bought the import of this yet, hold off...I'm hearing that it will be released in the US in January.

[unguarded moment]

It's been confirmed, as Surly mentioned earlier, that a U.S. release is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2007.
