OT, but there was a funny observation on the Ministry board a while back about the way Al sings the chorus in "Effigy", and how it sounds like he's saying "I'm not an F-A-G"!

The Ministry - With Sympathy reissue will not be coming out after all on August 12th as far as we can tell. We've been keeping tabs on the release the past couple of weeks and had some suspicions that there was a possibility of this. We really don't know any reason as to why (besides this title being cursed by Al), but have heard a rumor that there has been some changes at the reissuing label. I'm sure others who post here might have better info as to if it's canceled for good or if it's going to be rescheduled.

If anyone should actually get this new reissue in their hands, we'd love to hear where they got it.

Guh! So close to the release date, too. Thanks for the info, idealcopy. If I hear anything in the Ministry circle, I'll let ya know (though you'll probably hear something first). Maybe Jourgensen bought out the label and snuffed the re-issue!

I sent an e-mail to one of the assistant managers of AB records who I have been in contact with in the past. The release has been postponed. I will keep you updated as I receive any further news.

I hope they are postponing it to add some extra tracks or something cool like that. "Work For Love" 12 inch version would be awesome!!!

I agree with you Sean, that would be nice but sadly I don't see that happening. I have a feeling the release is going to be canned, a similar fate to what I believe is going to happen to the Re-Flex CD's that were supposed to be out already, no?

I was really surprised to see this was on the schedule. This is a title that I had relentlessly pursued for release on Superfecta only to be told that there was a 'note in the file' that it was contractually impossible to license. I assumed when I saw this was coming that somehow the merger of BMG and Sony had rendered that note irrelevant but the fact that it's now off the schedule makes me wonder if some lawyer found that note.

I dont know why Al is so against this record? it is a wonderful disc, and should be celebrated, not thumbed a nose @. Many goth fans acknowledge it, and appreciate, as Im sure we all would? Besides, wouldnt that put some more coin in AL's pocket? I still hold out it gets released, but as a 2 disc, w bonus mixes, and videos, but thats just me.

C'mon AL, we love you man, and we love the "With Sympathy" disc. Why not let true fans buy and appreciate it's greatness?
