Coolest spoken intro to a song

Postby i_like_lectric_motors » Wed Dec 22, 2004 11:32 am

Has got to be the intro to "Sweat Loaf" by Butthole Surfers. It just kills me every time I hear it and it sets the song up perfectly. Anyone have any other good ones?

"Daddy, what does regret mean?
Well son, the funny thing about regret is,
It's better to regret something you have done,
Than to regret something you haven't done.
And by the way, if you see your mom this weekend,
Be sure and tell her, SATAN, SATAN, SATAN!!!"

do samples from movies count? Single Gun Theory had a great intro for one of their songs:

"Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower
We will grieve not, but rather find
Strength in what remains behind."

This is the heavy heavy monster sound
The nuttiest sound around
So if you've come in off the street
And you're beginning to feel the heat
Well listen Buster you better start to mov

"As I mentioned near the close of the last record, this record you are now playing is
another example of the completion backward principal. If you can possibly manage the
