I received my copy from Amazon.co.uk yesterday, and the DVD is NTSC! I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, though. Loaded the CD onto my iPod, so I can't give a full review of the sound quality, but it sounds very good on there at least.

Also got the Ultravox Vienna remaster - nice package, but a flimsy booklet with no liner notes. Awaiting my copy of Rage In Eden...

Strange that they wouldn't advertise it as NTSC, R0.

That Propaganda DVD released in Germany, that costs $$$$, was also R0/NTSC. Guess they figured that more people can play NTSC than PAL.

Still waiting for my OMD to arrive :-(.

edit// Hmm, seems that there's a bunch of fucky DVDs ...

I suggest you guys who have it to run it through a scanner/verifier on your computer, like using NeroCDSpeed (Windows).

I recieved my DVD yesterday that i ordered from the OMD shop and their is no problems at all with mine. Watched it last night and i think it's excellent the sound on it is good and the picture is pretty good as well considering it's NTSC. Some of the videos are very cheesy though but what do you expect it was the 80's[:)]

I have been running home to check my mail everyday. Still not here yet. [:(!] At least it has definitely been released. My worst fear was that they would cancel or delay this!!!

Hmmm...I wonder why they didnt just release this w/the cd then, instead of the original? See, that would annoy the shit outta me.

By the way, how is the Vienna remaster, sound quality wise? what are the B sides?

They probably took the booklet out to cut costs but then again I thought the purpose of these Ultravox re-releases were to give the bands a respectable release of their albums so DJ Phoenix is right, why not include them. They knew that these would only be purchased by true fans.

I am beyond happy today [:D] as my OMD dvd came in. I can't believe I'm holding it in my hands. I guess 20 years is worth wait. The dvd is awesome. I don't know if they cleaned it up but video and audio quality if very nice. It appears like there's more detail in the videos now, maybe it's just the lcd tv as opposed to watching it on a vcr with the old tv sets. There are obvious signs of the age of the videos but I think they included everything I wanted on here so I'm not complaining at all. A few slight imperfections don't hurt the entire product. Anyways, I'm sure the rest of you who have received it are sitting at home enjoying right now. Others who are waiting for some strange reason, buy this right away, even if it's the only thing you are buying from now til the end of the year. By the way, the Sugar Tax videos are on here! [;)]

Regarding the DVD, the video and audio is okay. It's not great, but you won't be pissed off about it.

The video shows drop outs, which is to be expected. The audio sounds like it's from the original videos (except for the first few, which were originally mono), as opposed to using the audio from the remastered CD.

Overall, I've seen better remastering, such as the Cure's Greatest Hits, but on the other hand, it's not at all like the crap that Sony put out with George Michael's Twenty-Five.
