<br>For those who purchased the initial reissues, look at the brightside, you now are the proud owners of a re-called product, which in some cases can increase their value. Especially if the new versions have a different catalog number, the bad versions were pulled of the shelves - destroyed and a very limited amount were sold...

Given the opportunity, how many of you are actually going to exchange them????

I have the 5 albums, unopened, on my living room floor. In fact, I haven't even taken them out of the shipping box they came in[:D]

All ready to ship[}:)]

i already shipped mine back to amazon for a refund. schwenko touched on my concerns: when the correct versions will be issued and how consumers will know (hopefully a new barcode).

Yeah, BUT, I bought mine @ Zia Records in Vegas, can I bring them back there for return & replacement of new ones? also, will they honor the switch? or, will I have to send them back to the label for new copies? Someone please LMK if you do?

Any word yet on what the folks in the US who bought the New Order remasters can do with them? I can't bring them back to the record store i purchased them from, I've already asked. Factory Records hasn't even issued a "recall" notice for them here, at least that's what my friends @ Zia Records told me. Any news on this?

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for any announcements from Factory Records. They've been defunct for ? 15 years.
I'd suggest contacting Rhino Records.

I emailed Rhino.com several weeks ago and got a reply from "Dr. Rhino" a few days later stating that a statement will be made when the correct pressings are available. There were no specifics given at all - tentative dates, exchange/ return policy - which I guess is to be expected from any label's end trying to spare themselves additional embarrassment. I returned my whole set from Amazon and had a refund within a week from them. It'll be very interesting to see how they communicate to us consumers which are the correct copies worth purchasing. Squeaky wheels seem to usually get the grease, so I'd suggest everybody also emailing Dr. Rhino so a. they don't flake on pressing up correct copies and b. they do it sooner rather than later (how many years had we all been waiting for them to remaster New Order?). Hopefully they'll get so annoyed they'll do it just to shut us up.

No, but I am guessing they were not real hot sellers after the word got out. One local FYE superstore that was going out of business recently had the full set of five for 50% off as part of the storewide clearance sale. They eventually sold, but it took awhile even at half price.
