You Know You Are Getting Old When...

Your daughter just bought her own tickets to see the Dead Kennedys at the House of Blues. Then she informs you that "Dad" was just barely cool enough to take her to see "X" last year, but that seeing the DKs with "Dad" just ain't where it's at anymore.

Damnit! I wanted to see that show too! [:(!]

Jimbo,

She promised to bring me back a tee-shirt.
Why wasn't I that cool at 14... or now for that matter. [;)]

Bowiestation, you impressed my daughter.
Tell me more; that sounds like an interesting story.

They played in '81 at 688 in Atlanta.I was in the front row. Jello handed me the mike and I sang "We've got a bigger problem now" and "Holiday in Cambodia", with the Dk's blasting behind me.He dove into the crowd and dissapeared.Later on,they gave me a t-

Bowie- you just beat all my band stories! Very cool.

I'm lucky enough to have young kids that still think I'm cool. I tell them that every day. But my 6 year old had a friend over yesterday and when I went to check on them, they(along with my 2 3/4 dau

When you wake up in the middle of the night in a pool of sweat screaming, "I am going to be 35 next year.". It's strange because I wasn't thinking "wow I am 34" but rather 35, 5 years away from the big 4-0. I had to really stop and think about the directi

See this whole topic is strange for me as well and maybe I am in denial but I don't feel "old" and I don't look "old". So I guess I should tell myself that age is just a number and deal with it!

Getting old now is not as bad as it used to be.
Most of us are aging FAR slower that we should be and living longer at that.
If current life expectancy trends continue, we will all probably be in our 90's when most of us go.

You don't believe me?
