I really don't like having to download bonus songs, I would rather have a hard copy on cd.

They could have stuck the bonus download tracks on the 1st disc which has only 8 songs. Let the downloaders do the downloading and let the cd buyers get their money's worth with their purchase. It's funny, it's like they are trying to endorse downloading.

I agree - don't like some of the extra tracks being download only. And (at least in the UK) any track more than 7 minutes long is only available by buying the whole album...so if you want the remix of Heart of the Country you'd have to buy the whole album as a download.

What a rip off.

I've never bought a download and won't buy one. As I've said, I want a real cd, not a download, so no money from me.

Out 7th September, along with U-VOX, and according to Rob Harris at EV (and let's face it, he should know!) the downloads are available as individual tracks, you don't have to buy the whole album again.

Three of those bonus songs are on Rare 2 and the other is on Extended Ultravox so it's no big deal them not being on it. Though i do feel they could have filled up the first disc more.

Why is the official site not updated with these two new double CDs?

Got my copy of Lament today[:)] No complaints about the mastering because it sounds great. Only slight annoyance is the lack of stuff on it as been mentioned here and elsewhere the main album only lasts for 37 minutes that's an extra 40 minutes they could have filled up. Maybe they didn't want to use vinyl rips and end up in the same mess as those crappy New Order reissues.[:p]

Since you've already received your copy of Lament, I'm wondering if a site/ code for the downloads for the extra bonus tracks they neglected to put on the extra disc was included. Somebody had mentioned that was how they were going to include them instead of the logical place (imho) of adding them on the end of the Lament album on disc 1. Just curious...

There is no link in the sleeve notes it only tells you that they are avaiable as digital downloads. Here is a link to where you can find them and you can d/l the tracks separately http://astore.amazon.co.uk/extremevoice-21 Though you will notice that most tracks are 69p 6 tracks on the bonus disc are £1.89 each including The Heart Of The Country remix for some unknown reason. They are encoded at 256 kbps btw.
