Since the release of Deluxe edition of Rio Duran Duran confirms in myspace blog:

Oh and before we forget, we’ve got some real treats coming your way with special editions of the first album, Seven And The Ragged Tiger and Notorious in the first half of next year.

Cool :-D.

I'm crossing my fingers for the Hammersmith Odeon show, 1981.12.17, on CD or DVD.

Nice that Notorious will get the remastered treatment, but come on, bring on Arcadia already!

I always thought the sound quality on Notorious was piss poor anyways, so news of a re-master is welcome.

By the way, Im in agreeance...where is the Arcadia re-master stuff?

Sounds promising - keeping my fingers crossed for that 1981 show at least as cd as well... as there are quite a few things in the BBC Archives (considering the BBC/EMI deal...) as well, a lovely bonus dvd definetely wouldn't hurt [:D]
Curious with what they can come up with for the other albums...

Yeah, I think they would be. There's a nice bootleg CD with those mixes floating around.

Didn't want to post a new topic, since it's not big news, and it's been discussed here somewhere before ...

The Singles 81-85 3disc reissue is coming out in a few days (in Europe), and the pricing is pretty good. Amazon.de has it for 15EUR. Not so good pricing for the US, with it being $24USD. You're better off getting the replica boxset for $28USD.

Artwork is what you would expect, using the same graphics as the boxset. All the previous boxset tracks have been included.

I just noticed something interesting on the recent 2CD Rio reissue. The version of "Hold Back the Rain" is different than the previous version that has been on CD (and I'm not talking about the Kershenbaum remixes that appear on the CDs).

It's the version that skips the second and third verse, which was on the original, non-Kershenbaum, CA vinyl release (probably the same as the original US vinyl). The previous CDs (1984 + 2001 remaster) had all four verses.

(thought I would share in case there's some Duran trainspotters here :-)).
