It's a shame that the far more superior first self-titled DD album isn't mentioned in the title of this thread but I think that this is the place where to discuss the reissue of the fantastic debut album of Duran Duran.

And I have to say that I'm counting the days until its release date. I can't wait to listen to the so far unreleased Night Mix of Girls On Film. If it's only half as good as the Night Mix of Planet Earth then it will be great. What I love about the Night Mix of Planet Earth is that this mix is much closer to the brilliant original single/album version than the Night Version. I was very surprised to find this mix years ago by mistake on the DD 12" collection Strange Behaviour.

Yesterday I received the two Spandau Ballet Deluxe Editions and I enjoyed the included BBC session tracks very much - always on the hunt for some unreleased material of favourite bands. Therefore I'm also looking forward to listen to the Duran Duran demo and session tracks. 10 unreleased tracks in total - WOW! Not to forget the DVD - fantastic tracklist, too. That's what I call a Deluxe Edition. [:D]

Still 23 days until release date [:p]

Good question. I prefer to buy most of my stuff from a shop here in Frankfurt (Germany) called "Musikladen". Not one of those big discounters, a little shop with good custommer service. And therefore I received a phone call from my cd/record dealer yesterday and he told me that the two Spandau deluxe editions -which I had ordered some time ago- have just arrived.
I was so amazed that I forgot to ask why he received them earlier than planned. That's it!

Profil, I am actually pretty excited about the Seven And The Ragged Tiger reissue. As an overall album, I find it more listenable than the debut. Not that the debut doesn't have some great singles - it does - but I like a greater percentage of songs on Ragged Tiger.

Fortunately all of the reissues look to be pretty good!

Just to make sure: I'm also looking forward to the Seven And The Ragged Tiger reissue but I'm even more excited about the deluxe version of the debut album - songwise and also for the included bonus tracks.

But to each his own.

Apparently someone at Amazon thinks the debut album is a blast too because they keep pricing it at 44 GBP's. [}:)] When are they going to change the stupid pricing?

I think somebody must be on drugs at amazon. I just noticed that Arcadia's So Red The Rose is available to preorder now for £36.99. I'm afraid to preorder these in case the prices don't drop lol

At the price that they are listing, they better include one of the girls from the Girls On Film video.

It would be interesting to hear from an amazon insider how the crazy pricing schemes work...esepecially when jthey fluctuate all over the place.

They are available as pre-orders from http://www.cdwow.com/search?q=duran+duran&sort=release
at nice prices. You can chose between a 2-CD set and a 2CD+DVD set. /JW

Hold off on those import orders - they are being released in the US on April 6, and the Arcadia on April 20.
