Is this the one that was released like a year or so ago? I hadn't even noticed...I might have to take it/send it back.

I agree w/everyone else: why bother doing all of this w/any release, if you're just going to release shitty, horribly sounding versions? I especially dont like that they can continually try to take advantage of alot of good people here & elsewhere, for their own gain. Shame really, you end up shitting on the very same people who pay your bills? Makes no sense.

Thanks for the info omar. So, how do you know you got the new version? Did you order directly from them?

No, I just walked into this record shop in San Francisco and picked it up. It had the same barcode etc as the old one. I guess I got lucky that it was the newer version.

How can you tell it's different? They changed the artwork?

All artwork, sleeve notes, barcodes etc. are exactly the same, therefore beware. Some shops might have the new one while others may not. The new version has less vinyl hiss/distortion but still sounds a little flawed. This has got to be Cherry Red's worst release.

Why would anybody want to entertain the idea of buying this again after the cock up they made in the first place. The duds should have been replaced free of charge. By buying this you are just encouraging them to put more shit out there.

Has anyone purchased the RE-reissue directly from them who can let us know if it is actually improved over the first pressing?

I've never bought a cd directly from Cherry Red. Always through a retail store or Amazon.
