ARCADIA So Red The Rose 2010 UK Collectors Edition

Arcadia Box Set 2CD+DVD only £12.99

http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/1395402 ... oduct.html

It will probably come in a box the same way as both the Duran Duran reissues have been.

The back cover image at Amazon UK is rectangular, though, and the DD boxsets are square.

> The only question I have is whether this release used the original digital files or not. I remember Nick saying everything for the Arcadia project was recorded digitally, so it would be interesting to know what was used as a master recording for this reissue.

Don't know, but on the original CD, it is listed as AAD.

Wonder if it's remastered by our friend Andy Walters....

It's on pre-order from HMV.com at £12.99. As long as it's not a 'Spandau' (the new nick-name for a hideously disappointing reissue) then I'll be pleased for the 12" mixes on CD and the DVD (only seen the election day vid before).
P.S. Gonna take a chance with the cherry red TV21 reissue (i think it's vinyl, but by the band at least)

Somebody by the name of Steve Jansen (is it the guy from Japan ?) posted a pre review of the album/dvd on AmazonUK.

We all know it's a good album so why people post these pointless reviews before things are released is beyond me. What we want to know is whether or not the sound quality is any good or not and pray it's not that twat Walters that's involved with it.

i am guessing the same 'remaster' job is going to be present on this album as what is on the latest DD and spandau ballet remasters

Yes i see them now but it's hard to tell what the quality will be like from those samples. I suppose i will just have to wait till my copy arrives and if it's anything at all like those two Duran Remasters i won't be buying any more.

Strangely he has changed his original review now to Best album Duran never made ruined by EMI! http://www.amazon.co.uk/So-Red-Rose-Spe ... 550&sr=1-1 I imagine he must have an advance copy.
