I'm gonna give this another try. I'm looking for Combo Audio songs. I have Romanticide. I just need the other songs off of their EP. If Anyone has these songs, please please please help me out! This EP has been impossible to find so far without paying for it on GEMM!

I just found this 12 inch lp on ebay. It has four Combo Audio songs, Romanticide, Military English, Hi-Fidelity Situations, and Shadow Occupations. It is starting at only $2.99 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... eName=WDVW
I have this album and the 7 inch record. The 7 inch has Romanticide and It's a Crime on the flip side.

Hey there!
I'm not really fond of E-bay to say the least! I've had trouble in the past there! I have won bids and sent money orders off to the people and have never received the merchandise. Also, I've recieved records that were severely scratched, and I've won bids and the seller declines to sell and puts the merchandise back up for auction. I do not plan to ever bid on anything there again because of the problems I have had. If worse comes to worst and I get desperate I will buy the album on Gemm and have it mastered onto CD for me, but that is going to run me $35.00 or more, money that I don't have right now.

Do you have these songs on CD? If so, would you mind sending them to me?

Sorry to hear about your ebay nightmares! This seller seems good, for $2.99 maybe you should try again...I haven't had any problems with ebay. I have been lucky I guess. But getting to the real topic. I only have these 2 on vinyl. I have no means of putting them on cd as of yet. But I may know someone who can do it for me. I will contact them and get back to you on this board, so check back from time to time. If I can do it I will send them off to you![:)]

Yeah,
I thought about that. For 2.99 I thought I might try again, but I am just really over E-bay. I have no faith in that business anymore.

If you could have them burned and send them to me, that would be really awesome!!! Let me know if you end up doing it! I would greatly appreciate it. You can e-mail to if you want. Thanks a bunch! :oD

OK, so I finally broke down, now that I have some extra money, and I bought the EP, and two 45's of Romanticide (different B-sides) on GEMM. I can say that the EP really sucks. That is just my personal opinion. The only song that is good is Romanticide. I received one of the 45's so far. The B-side is "It's a Crime", which also sucks. However, the version for Romanticide is much different and SOOOOOOOO much better! I can tell they put this out first and then remastered it for a more catchy popular sound. I love this version! I will eventually have it burned if anyone is interested.

I am still waiting for the other Romanticide 45, with the B-side "Same".

You're right, the original 7" of "Romanticide" IS better than the EP version. But the EP wasn't a remastering or remix, it was an actual re-recording; one of the original members of the band left and, contractually, the band could not release the original version on which he played.

I wonder if someone can help me. I have the version of Romanticide that's on the Living In Oblivion: The 80's Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 CD. However, this is not the version I remember from WLIR. The version I remember is not nearly as overproduced as the Living in Oblivion version, nor are the synthesizers so heavy and poppy on the version I remember. Can anyone point me in the direction of which version I am recalling - is it the original 7" version? Also, any ideas on how I can get a copy? Thank you!!

Yeah,
You are looking for the original 45 version. You can probably find a copy at Gemm. I just bought a copy there. The B-side is “It’s a Crime.”

I am not sure which one is on the Living in Oblivion but I can send you the one I have. It's the one I remember hearing on WLIR. Acutally the guy I got it from had at one time gave WLIR alot of their music.

Wow! Thanks Marie3! You are awesome! I was wondering how I was going to get that vinyl burned to CD, but I guess I don't have to now. ;o) Thanks again! What a pleasant surprise!

It's so great to hear this version again, after years of having to live with the Living in Oblivion version. I think I've listened to it about 50 times since you sent it! Thanks again.
