Weird Things found at a Mega Mart

Postby n/a5 » Mon May 09, 2005 11:54 am

I was in upstate NY visiting a friend this weekend when I stepped into a WalMart and found some interesting stuff. Now I am not interested in bashiing them (although Ii love to)...rather I am just fascinated by what you actually find in Mega marts all over the place. Anyway maybe you all could share your weird finds and don't limit it to Walmart.

Found at the Oneonta Walmart:

(1) A Jar of pickled Kielbasa in two varities...Regular and Hot & Spicy.

(2) A Bible cover for $2.87...God protects you so you should protect his word right?[xx(]

(3) Microwavable Pork Rinds called Bacon Curls

(4) A Turkey call thingy that sounds like an owl. I didn't get it but I was told that they respond to owls calls (male Turkeys) [?][?][?]

(5) Vacuum Packed Tripe

(6) Camouflage briefs for men...WHY? Who is hunting in their underwear?

(7) Chicken and Cattle Feed...ok it is a farming community but for a city slicker it was weird.

The last time I was in a Wal-Mart, all I remember seeing was a fantastically large woman who was about 5 feet in both directions luging her oxygen tank around the store while lice--no kidding--lice played in the bright orange bun in her hair.

Of course

Someday I want to make a web page on truly 100% worthless items found in thrift stores. Things that are so tacky you could never resell them once you own them.

My first nomination would be ALL the items in the Harriet Carter gift catalog. The toilet mi

The last time I shopped at Wal-Mart I bought a cornish game hen in the food department and when I went to cook the little bastard I noticed that it had hundreds of big BLACKHEADS all over it's body. [xx(]
