"Fantasy Island" by Tight Fit should be easy enough to find as it's been on enough naff compilations in the UK over the years.

I should say that it’s rather difficult to get hold of the old stuff that we used to have. Replacing them with cds could be troublesome cause at certain place like where I am now, 80’s stuff are not easy to look for. I’ve ordered through Amazon every month hunting for cd’s ( mainly 80’s ) and that would cost me double of the price. It’s easy for people in the UK to get those new romantics stuff coz most of the artist are the brits ( isn’t it they who invented them? ). Sending few mp3’s means reducing a bit of my expenses, so I say. It’s not that I’m bloody broke or bloody rich since I’ve spent too much on Amazon but hey...for the sake of my fav. artist, for the love of my fav. music, why not!

I’ve checked Amazon catalogue and they don’t have Burnin’ Bridges by Naked Eyes, too bad but I give it a second thought on their ‘Best of.’

Love and Peace.

As you know Hani, I don't mind sending people songs if they only require a couple. It's when they come on here with huge lists of songs and say "send these thanks" to which I object.

As for getting them on CD, try the following sites:

Gemm: www.gemm.com

Netsounds: www.netsounds.com

Musicstack: www.musicstack.com

CD Japan: www.cdjapan.co.jp

Amazon Japan: www.amazon.co.jp

This is an interesting thread. I stumbled upon NWO only recently, after a certain moving company destroyed much of my beloved vinyl. In trying to replace my favorites, it became clear that some of my Canadian favorites in particular were out of print and hard to find. I have to thank eight 6 for helping me out with some of them.

I agree that this site should be used for hard to find tunes and I agree shopping lists are a bit distasteful. Especially when I see a request for a song that only took me 10 minutes or less to locate – and then purchased. On the other hand, sometimes items you think are easy to come by may not be so easy.

I have a really long story about trying to get a Men Without Hats CD – short version I got screwed on-line twice and now I have been waiting on back order with Amazon for over 3 months. All to really get just two bloody tracks, “I Like” and “I Got The Message”. I live in Canada and you would think it would be easy to find, but what a struggle!

Anyway, my point is that for some late-comers, like myself, maybe just maybe some of these tracks are indeed hard to find. I only hope that users of this site feel they have exhausted all other possibilities before requesting a shopping list of mainstream tunes.

Thanks with the sites Frank, that's indeed helpful, at least.

Another great (overlooked and maligned) source of mp3 music is <a href="http://www.winmx.com/" target="blank">WinMX</a>

Outside of the <a href="http://www.geocities.com/natephish/hub.html" target="blank">NW hub</a> it has been a reliable (and malware free) experience.

There are some who will beg to differ but so far it has been my sole source of obscure and HTF music outside of what was previously mentioned.

Why? The list is short and if I had the tracks I would e-mail them.
