Burns Sisters Band - I Wonder Who's Out Tonight

Postby 2Nu » Thu Aug 11, 2005 7:01 am

Here's a little known all girls act that hails from upstate NY and is still around.

I still remember them from their catchy 1986 debut, of which a sample can be obtained Here
BTW: 'I Wonder Who's Out Tonight' has a distinct Bangles flavor to it.

Does anyone have this track on Mp3?[8)]

"I Wonder..." was a WLIR Screamer Of The Week.

They're a trio now and their music is decidedly more acoustic/religious.

[/quote]That's why I can't stop giving props to WLIR (Denis M. and his crew) for all the programming vehicles used to present these great tunes to the listenership.

BTW: I'm still looking for that Mp3!

2Nu, I found it and it's in the mail.

And, as usual I'll have it shared in the hub, wherever it is...

I'll be looking for them on the hub, I think I heard the track once.

I remember seeing flyers for them around 82-83 at some local clubs. I never managed to actually see them though. They were always reviewed very well in the local music paper. I thought they were based out of the Southern Tier, maybe Ithaca? I'm suprised that they're still making music.
