Looking for 3 songs

Postby spohlso » Fri Sep 02, 2005 6:26 am

Hey, new guy here (just came across this board today.) I'm trying to track down 3 songs that have been stuck in my head since the 80s, that I have not been able to track down at all.

One is "Detroit Chrome Mountain" by the Batfish Boys. I had a compilation tape of it years ago, but the tape got eaten. Also on the tape was a song called "Big Brains" by a band called 'The Nerds.' I would do anything to get those 2 songs back.

Finally, I seem to recall a song by Ledernacken besides 'Amok' (but from about the same time period, but all I can really remember about it was that the name 'Ledernacken' seemed to be in the chorus (allthough, being that I don't speak German it could have just been something that vaguely sounded like Ledernacken.)

Anyone have a copy of the first 2 (and have any idea what I'm talking about with that 3rd one?)

I have a song by Ledernacken called Do The Boogaloo. Is that the song you're thinking of?

I've got the Batfish Boys track (actually I believe I have a complete discography). As with my other posts, I can get it to you but it may take awhile. I'm currently backed up with 8 other projects and I usually only get to work on stuff on the weekends. if no one else can come through with that song let me know and I'll put it on the list of stuff to rip.

I'm not certain. How does the chorus go?

YAZOOMBA! I would greatly appreciate a rip. I'll give it some time to see if anyone else has it, but I may definately take you up on that if no one else comes through.

Thanks so much. Unfortunately that wasn't it thouggh. The tune I was thinking of was much harsher. Much less danceable. Also, I could have sworn 'Ledernacken' was mentioned in the chorus.

It's probably been 20 years since I've heard it though, so I could be totally mistaken. Thanks for the upload. If I can ever do the same I will.

Have you tried Ledernacken's website? There are a few downloads available on it.
