Gyroscope: Yes, I have most of their records and cds. I¡¦ll see if I can rip some more. They¡¦re definitely worth checking out!
Yipyipcoyote: I don¡¦t have that 12¡¨, but I might have seen something by that band in a local record store. I noticed because it looked like it might be good. If it¡¦s cheap, I might just get it.
Anyway, here are a few new songs. Some good, some great, some not so much.
Dead Neighbours: Beauty and the Beast (1985, from the ¡§Strangedays Strageways¡¨ LP on Sharko Records).
This is the band that would later gain Cocteau Twins bassist Will Heggie and become Lowlife. It basically sounds like a less-dreampop Lowlife.

Susan Rhee and the Orientals: Psychology (1984, on a 12¡¨ on Real Records).
This is catchy female-fronted synthpop. It may not be terribly original, but it is a good song!

Game Theory: Life in July (1982, from the EP ¡§Pointed Accounts of People You Know¡¨ on Rational Records)
I know a lot of people here are fans of this band. This song is for those few who may not yet have heard anything from them.

Yuhboys: Holiday (1984, from a 1-sided, self-titled, self-released EP).
This is a cool powerpop/new wave obscurity that was found toiling in the bargain bins of a local record store. It¡¦s upbeat, lo-fi, and pretty raw, which are all qualities I dig.

Subjects: Augie (1982, from the selftitled EP on Civil Antidote Records).
I love this quirky, weird synthy stuff. It¡¦s everything that¡¦s great about new wave: weird, sort of artsy, yet accessible and catchy. It¡¦s kinda like Devo that was, I guess.

Second Language: Souvenirs (1983?, form a self-titled, self-released EP)
Yes, this is pretty cheesy. It reminds me of bands like Pretty Poison or the later, more commercial songs by Berlin (well, not Take My Breath Away. We can forget that¡K). But I still like it.

Fragile Friends: Caught on the Hop (1985, on the ¡§Novelty Wears Off¡¨ EP on Traditional Records)
One of the first songs I posted in this thread was a Fragile Friends song. Here¡¦s my favorite song from that same EP. It¡¦s bouncy, pure pop fun.

The Affordable Floors: The Long Winter (1986, from the LP ¡§Sounding¡¨ on AWOL Records)
First of all, please excuse the somewhat crackly sounds here. This is like New Order or The Cure meets C-86. I really, really love this song. It¡¦s definitely my favorite of the week, and one of my favorite songs that I¡¦ve posted in this thread, period. If you like this song, I strongly urge you to pick up their LP on gemm before it disappears!
